Welcome to San Juan Soccer, home of Friday Harbor FC!
San Juan Soccer is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to provide youth soccer programs for children ages 4-18 on San Juan Island. Our organization, founded in 1999, is run by a board of dedicated volunteers as a member of US Club Soccer through the Skagit Valley Youth Soccer Association (SKVYSA) (http://www.skvysa.org/home.php).
San Juan Soccer hosts U5/6, U8 and U10 on-island co-educational leagues from September through October at Friday Harbor Elementary School. Our older teams (boys and girls U11, U12, U13, and U14) participate as Friday Harbor FC in SKVYSA's fall youth recreation program. Games are divided between Friday Harbor and Skagit County.
San Juan Soccer has established a winter indoor soccer program (futsal) under IslandRec (http://www.islandrec.org/) at the San Juan County Fair Building from January through February. Winter 2015 will have programs for 5/6th grade, 7/8th grade, and high school players. Look for the IslandRec schedule later this fall to see registration options.
Our coaching director, Bob Leytze, offers a season prep camp for middle school players. IslandRec offers programs for all ages through British Soccer and TetraBrazil. Look for the IslandRec catalog in the spring for details.
Our website uses Korrio to register players and organize teams (http://support.korrio.com/entries/21906385-Frequently-Asked-Questions). Coaches may use the site for team communication.
